Skyward is pleased to announce the launch of Traffic Scan, a free web-based tool for analyzing historical SMS traffic without requiring integration with the provider’s messaging platform.
Traffic Scan is part of Skyward Traffic Intelligence Platform (TIP), our solution for message-level traffic verification and classification designed specifically for SMS aggregators and A2P providers. It makes TIP’s core analytical capabilities available for offline analysis: instead of processing messages in real time, Traffic Scan analyzes traffic records uploaded by the user. This allows messaging providers to identify message types and detect fraud, including AIT, in their own traffic.
Identify Fraud and Classify Legitimate SMS Traffic
Users upload an Excel file containing SMS traffic records for the period they want to examine. Traffic Scan analyzes every message in the uploaded dataset and provides two core types of results:
Traffic verification analyzes message content and available traffic characteristics to identify fraudulent or restricted traffic and show which messages would be blocked.
Traffic classification assigns each legitimate message to a traffic type, such as OTP, marketing, transactional, or gambling, providing a clear view of the composition of the uploaded traffic.
Results are available in the Traffic Scan interface as aggregated statistics with breakdowns by country and Sender ID. Users can also download a detailed Excel report with results for every message.
